Director of Operations
Coach Colon has been a part of the Riverside Hawks organization for over 15 years as both player and head coach. His coaching resume includes four years as a lead assistant and scout for his alma mater, The City College of New York. Afterwards, Colon’s passion for the game and interest in teaching youth led him back to the Hawks in 2012. Since then, Colon has taken on head coaching duties for two elite Hawks teams: one finished top-12 in the nation for 3 consecutive years and the other won the Division 1 National Championship in 2014. His teams have also collected a number of regional championships, earning him the respect of his peers in on the National AAU circuit.
Coach Hargraves graduated from Our Savior Lutheran High School in the Bronx, where he was named to the All-City and All-State high school basketball teams. He later played four years of Division I basketball at Iona College, where he served as Captain his senior year while also being named Associated Press All American in 1985. Hargraves also has played professionally and is a Riverside Hawks alumni, having played and coached with Riverside for over ten years.

John Hawthorne is the top professional trainer within the HARDWORK24/7, INC. brand, designed to further build the bridge between athletes and trainers for business, organizations, and individual purpose. John has helped mainstream athletes such as Smush Parker, Josh Selby, Kemba Walker, C.J. Watson, Scott Machado, and others. John also has trained numerous overseas, collegiate, high school, middle school, and young players across the nation. “I like to make the experience fun by having a good time all within the confines of an intense workout. Our methodology focuses on the development of athletes and teams using highly skilled cross training techniques that develop high motor skills and train basketball ‘proprioception,’ the brain’s ability to sense the body’s spatial positioning relative to the basketball and court.”
